TrainMyTechs™ Is customized technical training for your electrical and mechanical personnel, including supervisors, and is taught by an OSHA outreach trainer and LTA’s EPA program director. Our 4 day program will increase knowledge and productivity, even of you choose to only utilize one of the four day-long mini schools.

Employers with one or more employees, are required to provide specific electrical training to all employees who face electric hazards or the risk of injury due to electric shock. The instruction under §1926.21 must be tailored to the employees' language and level of education, the hazards employees will encounter, and convey the required information. OSHA. 29CFR 1926 §1910.332.
All weekday classes are small and hands on where appropriate. Each day is a stand-alone unit and may be attended according to the needs of the student and his employer. Employees may be freely substituted to take advantage of package discounts.
Tuesday - Qualified and Unqualified worker training standards; Electric hazards likely to effect each student; Complete analysis of all electrical OSHA standards; Arc flash. Goal: Recognition of electric shock hazards with a real world approach to accomplishing cost and time efficient work, without sacrificing safety or violating OSHA standards. Who should attend: The new techs and the seasoned supervisors (together), business owners. This is a great refresher presented in a lively way.
Wednesday - Basic electric theory and service; Finding, measuring, and managing what’s hot and what’s not; Discovering what electricity is and what it can do; How different electrical devices really work. Goal: To develop or sharpen the electro-mechanical mind. Who should attend: All the young folks (and their supervisors). Heating & Air techs, too. See
Thursday - Gas fired heating devices and ignition; Heat pumps; Every thing you could want to and need to know about refrigeration theory; System components; Managing, measuring, moving and respecting refrigerants, gauges and most of the tools of the trade. Goal: The foundation of conditioned air. Working towards Qualified Person status. Who should attend: All persons who attempt to control temperature and humidity in any space.
Friday - Trouble-shooting and servicing HVAC. Hotel PTAC, mini splits, chillers, air-water-ground condensing. 608 prep and test. Goal: Round out tech’s knowledge, increase productivity by decreasing call-backs. Get EPA certified.
